What it does

A reposado-tequila route that gives a Rosita an agave base with measured barrel roundness rather than mezcal smoke. It supports the split-vermouth structure without disappearing; overly sweet partners can blur the sharper agave direction.

Agave takes the base away from gin. Mezcal brings smoke and earth; reposado tequila brings agave weight without the smoke. Either way, the drink needs enough bitter and vermouth structure around it.
