Plymouth, Suze & Cocchi Americano
The gentian direction
Plymouth, Suze and Cocchi Americano make another pale Negroni, with Suze’s earthy gentian character replacing Luxardo’s herbs and citrus.
Luxardo Bitter Bianco and Dolin Blanc keep it pale, with Tanqueray dry underneath.
Checking your Shelf…
Stir with ice, then strain over fresh ice.
One large fresh cube.
Rocks glass.
Lemon peel.
Serve very cold and properly diluted.
Proper dilution means enough water from melting ice to soften the alcohol without making the drink taste thin. Stir with ice and taste as you go: the drink should be cold, with less alcohol burn and plenty of flavour. Timing varies with your ice.
