Del Maguey Vida Clásico

Del Maguey

What it does

VIDA Clásico gives you a smoky agave direction for the red Negroni. Del Maguey’s notes include roasted agave and tangerine: there is fruit in the bottle as well as smoke.

In the family

Agave spirits

Agave takes the base away from gin. Mezcal brings smoke and earth; reposado tequila brings agave weight without the smoke. Either way, the drink needs enough bitter and vermouth structure around it.

What it opens up

Mezcal Negroni
Mezcal for gin. Smoke and roasted agave over the bitter-red frame.
