Martini Rosso
Bottle · Sweet vermouth
What it does
Martini Rosso is the lighter, more familiar rosso. In a Sbagliato that's exactly right: Campari carries the bitterness, prosecco does the lift, and the vermouth just sits behind them. In a short, strong drink it can read thin next to Cocchi or Antica, so the rest of the mix has to pull more weight.
In the family
Sweet vermouth/rosso
The cushion and the weight. Rosso rounds off the bitter and the base, and it's what decides whether a drink lands clean, plush, light, or firm. Keep it fresh, because a tired one shows immediately.
