Campari + Cocchi + soda

The short version

Campari and Cocchi, no gin, opened up with soda. Bitter, red, and low in strength.

Pour the Campari and Cocchi over ice, add soda, stir once, gently. Keep the soda in check, or the structure turns into a suggestion.

Lighter than a Negroni but still clearly Campari and rosso, where a longer soda pour would wash it out.

A long soda pour flattens the vermouth.
